Job Summary

Position: Sr. Manager - Purchase

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 8 - 15 Years

Industries: Plastics / Rubber

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of polymers, plastic raw materials, additives, masterbatches and packaging materials.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing and cost-saving plans.
• Identify, evaluate and develop domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts and delivery schedules.
• Monitor commodity prices, market trends and raw material fluctuations.
• Ensure timely material availability as per production requirements.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate with production, planning, warehouse, QA, finance and logistics teams.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance and commercial terms.
• Handle import procurement and international supplier coordination.
• Prepare procurement MIS, cost analysis and supplier performance reports.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of plastic and polymer raw materials.
• Excellent vendor development and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of commodity markets and pricing.
• Strong sourcing and cost-control abilities.
• Experience in domestic and international procurement.
• Good inventory planning and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP and MS Excel.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Any Graduation + MBA - Supply Chain
