Sr Manager, Site Reliability Engineer (FedRAMP / AWS GovCloud)

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Manager, Site Reliability Engineer (FedRAMP / AWS GovCloud) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead site reliability efforts across a secure cloud environment, with responsibility for strengthening operational resilience, compliance readiness, and production stability. The position blends hands-on technical leadership with team management, supporting feature teams through clear prioritization, automation, and disciplined change control. You will help ensure critical infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and continuously aligned with federal compliance expectations.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the AWS GovCloud landing zone and its security configurations
• Manage the continuous-compliance evidence pipeline for FedRAMP
• Oversee production change processes and incident management
• Drive automated promotion paths from development to production
• Prioritize operational requests from feature teams and maintain a clear work view
• Lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles
• Strong technical expertise in AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience managing and growing a small engineering team
• Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance and continuous monitoring
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with team leadership
