Sr Mechanical Design Engineer

As part of PT Hexa Teknologi Indonesia mechanical engineering team, you will be involved in the mechanical design and development of complex systems and components in the fields of special-purpose machinery, steel structures, and vehicle engineering. Working closely with our German headquarters, you will transform ideas into detailed 3D models and technical drawings, analyse production requirements, perform simulations, and ensure that our solutions comply with industry standards and safety regulations. You will act as a key user for office and CAD software, maintaining regular communication with our colleagues in Germany.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the mechanical design and development of complex systems and components in coordination with our German office
2. Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software
3. Analyse production requirements to determine optimal working methods
4. Ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations
5. Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns
6. Maintain regular communication with the German headquarters
7. Act as a key user for office and CAD software
8. Support international collaboration with our German office

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree (S1) or Applied Bachelor’s degree (D4) in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Design Engineering
2. Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in mechanical design and development
3. Strong knowledge of ISO, EN, and DIN standards for drawings and dimensioning
4. Proficiency in CAD software (2D and 3D design), including Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and Teamcenter
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
7. Experience in special-purpose machinery design
8. Experience in creating technical drawings
9. Excellent English skills, both spoken and written

Desirable Ǫualifications

• German language skills

• Experience with Creo Parametrics, SAP, Windchill
