Sr. Mechanical Draftsman

• Job Purpose: As a Senior Mechanical Draftsman, you will develop and plan precise engineering drawings and sketches using AutoCAD software. You will be responsible for preparing visual depictions of products to be manufactured, creating production and shop drawings, and developing AS-built drawings based on site measurements and project coordination.
• Key Responsibilities
• Project Review: Study and thoroughly understand the scope and specific requirements of each project.

Reporting & Workflow

• Reports Generated: None
• Documents Received/Handled: Updated Project Drawings, Design/IFC Drawing Requirements, and Requests for Information (RFI's).

Qualifications & Skills

• Project Analysis: Review and understand project scope and requirements.
• AutoCAD Design: Create accurately scaled engineering and design drawings.
• Shop Drawings: Prepare mechanical and electrical shop drawings following engineer guidelines.
• Layout Coordination: Develop electro-mechanical external and combined services layouts.
• Revisions: Alter drawings and prepare Builder’s work drawings based on engineering feedback.
• As-Built Documentation: Deliver final As-built drawings using site measurements.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain organized backups of marked checkpoints and correct errors.
• Design Review: Evaluate drawings at multiple stages to identify improvements.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with construction and engineering staff to fulfill drawing needs.
• Task Delegation: Handle additional technical duties assigned by the Design Engineer.
• Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or Senior Draftsman in a construction or engineering environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and other computer-aided design applications.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, shop drawings, and coordinated combined services layout design.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications, IFC drawings, and RFI data.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with site engineers and construction staff.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills for document control.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 per month
