Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of server system architecture, mechanical design, and DFM reviews during early project development.
• Solid understanding of industry standards and specifications, including EIA, OCP, PCIe, and other server platform design requirements.
• Ability to validate component 3D models and create accurate 3D/2D CAD drawings.
• Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes for mechanical DFM reviews.
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical design issues while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Experience in system-level interference checks, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
• Lead cross-functional teams in system layout, component placement, cable routing, and interference studies.
• Conduct system-level design risk assessments, FMEA, and drive issue resolution to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a master’s degree.
• 10+ years of experience in server system mechanical design is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Creo, AutoCAD, or other 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Solid understanding of server mechanical architecture, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFMEA.
• Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
