Sr. Mnaufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness. This role focuses on electronics manufacturing, particularly Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), with emphasis on process improvement, automation, tooling development, and production optimization. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, support new product introduction, and implement engineering solutions that enhance productivity, minimize production downtime, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes and production workflows for electronics assembly
• Analyze production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
• Develop and maintain production schedules, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure on-time delivery
• Provide technical support for SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes, including component assembly, wave soldering, selective soldering, and PCB testing
• Optimize soldering processes and parameters to ensure consistent product quality and reliable assembly
• Lead and implement process improvement and automation projects to increase production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs
• Support New Product Introduction activities by developing and validating manufacturing processes for new products
• Investigate production defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and process improvements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, with strong exposure to SMT and PCBA processes
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement and automation projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity
• Hands-on experience in wave soldering, selective soldering, fixture and tooling design, and PCB testing
• Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), PCB assembly processes, fixture design, and manufacturing automation
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities
