What they need

Network Implementation Engineer & Team Trainer Our global network delivers secure, reliable, and private networking solutions to critical industries worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Implementation Engineer & Team Trainer to join our dynamic and growing Implementation team, a tight-knit group of innovators deploying high-impact network solutions across the globe.

In this hybrid role, you'll lead complex network implementations from design to cutover, collaborate with international customers, and support the growth and consistency of our global operations. You'll also play a key role in internal knowledge development: mentoring junior engineers, creating technical documentation, and providing guidance during escalations.

If you thrive on ownership, live for solving complex network problems, and are passionate about both hands-on engineering and team development, this is your opportunity to make a global impact while growing your technical expertise in a dynamic, future-focused environment.

What YOU Will Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize network solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Lead multiple high-visibility network implementation projects, owning them from initial design through activation and support.
  • Directly engage with customers and field technicians to manage WAN circuit activations, troubleshoot complex issues, and execute seamless network cutovers.
  • Create detailed cutover plans and maintain critical network documentation, including asset records, circuit information, and diagrams.
  • Support and troubleshoot advanced network issues, serving as an escalation point for technical challenges.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and optimize deployments based on performance and feedback.
  • Mentor and coach junior network engineers, providing guidance on best practices, standards, and growth.
  • Develop and deliver formal and informal technical training sessions and labs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on emerging technologies and operational processes.
  • Author and maintain high-quality documentation, including network diagrams, implementation guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies, and train the team on their use.
  • Champion process improvements to enhance network reliability, scalability, and team efficiency.
  • Provide presales support with calls to existing and potentially new customers.

What YOU Will Learn

  • How to distill complex concepts into accessible training materials and step-by-step documentation.
  • Build your skills in coaching, mentoring, and onboarding engineers to ensure consistency across the Implementation teams.
  • Master the creation of playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deepen your knowledge in wide-area networking and security, including BGP routing, NAT, VPNs, DMVPN, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Build global implementation experience in a large-scale, service provider-class WAN supporting aviation and transportation systems.
  • Develop your leadership and customer communication skills through cross-functional, high-impact projects and real-world deployments.

Qualifications YOU Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • 5+ years of experience configuring Cisco routers and switches in a production WAN environment.
  • Prior experience building router configurations using templates and BGP routing expertise.
  • Prior knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, VPN, etc.), firewalls, and network security principles.
  • Prior experience mentoring technical teams or delivering technical training.

Qualifications WE Prefer

  • Prior experience diagnosing network and application issues through analysis of packet captures or system logs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • CCNA certification required, CCNP highly preferred.
  • Prior experience implementing WAN connectivity in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Experience developing structured network training content and technical documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale, private global service provider-class networks.
