Sr Offshore Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Structural Design & Engineering

• Develop structural concepts, calculations, drawings, and engineering documentation for marine and offshore structures like vessels, jack up rig, jacket, FPOS, FSO etc.
• Perform structural design and assessment of vessel and offshore structures.
• Review and verify structural drawings and engineering deliverables.

Structural Analysis

• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for strength, stress, buckling, deflection, and structural adequacy assessments.

Marine / Offshore Engineering.

• Work on vessels, offshore structures, platforms, marine equipment foundations, and related structures.
• Support vessel life-extension and structural integrity assessment projects
• Participate in vessel surveys, site inspections, and dimensional surveys when required.
• Coordinate technical and approval requirements with Classification Societies and clients.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical / Marine / Structural / Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering.

• Proficiency in MS Office, project planning tools, and engineering documentation systems.
• Understanding of fabrication, welding, and offshore installation methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience working on EPC projects and liaising with clients and third-party verification bodies is a plus.The incumbent must have extensive experience in the design and analysis of offshore structures, including jackets, topsides, and other fixed platforms. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Staad Pro, SACS, and Ansys is highly desirable.
