Summary
Responsible for administration, reliability, and optimization of Oracle database environments supporting enterprise applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/OCI, etc.)
- Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle operations
- Ensure availability and resiliency (e.g., RAC, Data Guard where applicable)
- Perform backup and recovery operations
- Monitor and optimize database performance and resource utilization
- Support production releases and deployments
- Implement security, access controls, and compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot database issues and support incident response
- Collaborate with application teams on schema and query optimization
Required Skills
- Oracle RDBMS (on-prem + OCI/cloud exposure)
- PL/SQL, query optimization
- Oracle HA/DR (RAC, Data Guard)
- Performance diagnostics and tuning
