Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable web applications and backend systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, modern frameworks, database management, API development, and software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP.
• Work with frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs.
• Develop clean, scalable, reusable, and secure code.
• Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, including database design, queries, indexing, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and production bugs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and other security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers.
• Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to system architecture and design decisions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and support the team in resolving complex technical issues.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8+.
• Hands-on experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, MVC architecture, and design patterns.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Strong experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Understanding of web security concepts such as authentication, authorization, SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Linux/server environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, AWS, or cloud platforms is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working on large-scale or enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of Redis, queues, caching, Elasticsearch, or microservices is a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
