Sr. Platform Engineer - Kubernetes (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer - Kubernetes (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and scaling multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure that supports reliability, observability, and operational excellence across a complex technology environment.

You will collaborate with engineering partners to evaluate open-source solutions, improve platform services, and strengthen the performance of large-scale Linux-based systems.

The position also includes mentoring junior engineers and helping drive thoughtful technical decisions that enhance long-term platform evolution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $215,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable multi-cloud Kubernetes solutions
• Optimize reliability of large-scale infrastructure platforms
• Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies into workflows
• Provide insights for the evolution of Kubernetes infrastructure services
• Mentor junior engineers for collaborative decision-making

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card)
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience managing large clusters
• Proficiency in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana
• Experience operating in various clouds such as AWS, GCP, and OCI
• Strong background in large-scale Linux environments
• Familiarity with on-call shifts management
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies for operational efficiency
