Job Summary

ScaleupAlly is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, DAX, data modeling, and BI, along with a solid understanding of data engineering and modern data platforms. The role involves building end-to-end BI solutions, including data transformation, modeling, dashboard development, and performance optimization. The candidate should understand ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and scalable data architectures, and work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX, Power Query, data modeling, RLS, and Power BI Service.
• Design and manage end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics.
• Design scalable data models, including Star Schema, fact and dimension tables.
• Work with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Lakehouse environments.
• Use Python, Spark/PySpark, and Delta Lake for data processing and automation.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, and transactional systems while ensuring data quality.
• Optimize Power BI reports, DAX, SQL, data models, pipelines, and refresh performance.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end data flow from source systems pipelines warehouse/lakehouse Power BI.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable BI solutions.
• Perform data reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Follow Git/version-control practices and contribute to technical standards and documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and support technical decision-making.
• Take ownership of BI and data engineering solutions from development through deployment and optimization.
