Sr Pre-development Engineer

About The Role Location： Foshan

The Pre‑Development Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in shaping the next generation of kitchen appliances by transforming consumer insights and business requirements into validated technical solutions. The role focuses on developing new functions, enhancing existing platforms, and enabling innovation through strong mechanical engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities Innovation & Concept Development Develop innovative functionalities and technical concepts within cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Design, Innovation).

Explore, stretch, and redefine existing platforms or create new platform architectures to support future product pipelines.

Translate commercial, functional, and aesthetic requirements into robust mechanical designs.

Technical Delivery Ensure timely delivery of function and platform solutions aligned with performance, quality, and cost targets.

Lead early-stage testing and validation on sub‑system and system levels in close collaboration with the Testing team.

Conduct mechanical platform benchmarking to maintain competitiveness.

System Integration Define and manage interfaces across mechanical, electronics, digital, industrialization, and sustainability domains.

Collaborate with the scouting team to assess supplier innovations and align them with platform strategies.

The Skills And Knowledge You’ll Bring Education: Engineering background: bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering

Experience: Proven track record in development of new functionality for consumer products

Skills: Strong analytical & conceptual thinking, along with a systematic approach towards problem solving

Creative mindset seeing potential of new technologies and ideas to deliver new innovations

Drive for quality yet with pragmatic and ‘can do’ mindset, able to operate in a dynamic environment

Experience with Design for Six Sigma and Black belt certification is a plus.
