Sr. Process Engineer

Position: Sr. Process Engineer

Location: Various locations in the Midwest and Virginia

Travel: Up to 75%

Pay Rate: 110K-165K (negotiable based on experience)

Musts (qualifications):

• 7-10+ years of hands-on industrial process engineering experience
• B.S. in Engineering required, Chemical Engineering preferred
• Experience with heat & material balances, process optimization, and troubleshooting
• Process design, commissioning, start-up, and plant support experience
• Strong data analysis skills using plant operating data
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering and operations teams
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%)

Plusses:

• Chemical Engineering degree
• Process modeling software experience
• Technology development, R&D, or pilot testing experience
• Large-scale environmental controls experience (FGD systems, emissions controls)
• Laboratory experience and statistical analysis
• Foundry coke, steel, chemical, manufacturing, or energy industry experience
• Heavy industrial manufacturing/process plant experience
• Strong process optimization and troubleshooting background
• Experience supporting new technology development and capital projects

Day to Day:

• Develop and test new technologies and process improvements
• Analyze plant data to improve efficiency and troubleshoot operational issues
• Lead field trials, proof-of-concept testing, and technology implementation
• Support capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning
• Work with operations, engineering, vendors, and customers on process improvements
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
