Are you ready to industrialize the future of programmable photonics for AI infrastructure?

At iPronics, pioneers in software-defined photonics and creators of the world’s first programmable optical switch on silicon, we’re looking for a Senior Process Integration Engineer – Optical Active Alignment to help scale our next-generation photonic systems from prototype to high-volume manufacturing. Your work will directly contribute to the deployment of cutting-edge optical switching technologies powering the future of AI networking and data center infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Process Integration Engineer , you will work at the intersection of photonic design, packaging, manufacturing, and reliability engineering. Your mission will be to develop and optimize optical assembly and integration processes that ensure scalability, yield, and product performance as iPronics continues to grow.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Process Development & Integration: Develop and optimize Active Alignment, Fiber Attach/Fiber Coupling, and FAU assembly processes for optical engine manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing Scale-Up: Lead the transfer of optical assembly processes from R&D to production, ensuring stable, scalable, and high-yield manufacturing flows.
  • Supplier & Foundry Collaboration: Work closely with OSATs and manufacturing partners to qualify processes, troubleshoot issues, and support volume ramp activities.
  • Yield & Reliability Improvement: Perform yield analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives using SPC, Cp/Cpk, RCA, FMEA, FA, and 8D methodologies.
  • Product Industrialization: Define manufacturability guidelines, control plans, documentation, and reliability processes to support long-term product success.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in optical active alignment, fiber attach/fiber coupling, FAU assembly, or optical module manufacturing.
  • Proven experience transferring complex optical products from development into scalable manufacturing environments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of optical alignment systems, precision motion control, machine vision, and optical metrology.
  • Experience with yield analysis, statistical process control, reliability methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
  • Background in BOM management, supplier qualification, component specification management, and manufacturing readiness programs.
  • Experience working with outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers (OSATs) and foundries to improve process performance and yield.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with a passion for building scalable technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What We Offer:

  • Permanent, full-time position based in Taiwan.
  • Flexible working hours and a supportive hybrid working model.
  • December 24th and 31st off.
  • A collaborative, innovative, and international environment where your work directly impacts product success.
  • The opportunity to help industrialize breakthrough photonic technologies that will shape the future of AI networking and optical communications.
