About the role

Megawide Construction Corporation, a leading construction company in the Philippines, is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team. In this full-time position, based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement processes and inventory management to support the company's construction projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment and services
2. Negotiate favourable terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best possible prices, delivery schedules and quality
3. Manage the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering, vendor selection and contract management
4. Oversee the maintenance of accurate inventory records and optimise stock levels to minimise costs and ensure project requirements are met
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and provide procurement-related support
6. Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
7. Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and implement cost-saving initiatives

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry
2. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with the ability to build and maintain successful supplier relationships
3. Proficient in inventory management and optimisation techniques
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams
5. Thorough understanding of procurement best practices, policies and regulatory requirements
6. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to identify and implement process improvements
7. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
