What they need

Description Are you passionate about protecting the world's most recognized brands and ensuring customers can shop with confidence on Amazon? Join the Intellectual Property Protections (IPP) team — the central hub for addressing complex brand protection challenges across Amazon's global marketplace.

The IPP team designs and builds high-performance systems leveraging machine learning and cross-functional collaboration to identify, prevent, and remediate intellectual property abuse on behalf of rights owners worldwide. As the single-threaded owner for end-to-end brand protection solutions, IPP ingests and prioritizes critical brand pain points, conducts comprehensive root cause analysis, develops sustainable mechanisms, and drives continuous improvement across Amazon's brand protection ecosystem.

Role We are seeking a strategic, experienced Senior Program Manager to own the strategy, execution, and cross-organizational integration for Band Protections — turning reactive enforcement into proactive, scalable prevention that directly reduces brand abuse for rights owners globally. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to address complex, high-ambiguity brand protection challenges with senior leadership visibility
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, Science, and Policy teams across multiple geographies
  • Establish key mechanisms, dashboards, and self-service tooling that eliminate manual dependencies and enhance Amazon's brand protection capabilities
  • Influence roadmap prioritization across multiple organizations, operating as a thought leader in the IP protection space
  • Drive clear communication channels and strategic stakeholder engagement for both internal teams and external brand partners globally
  • This is a high-impact, high-visibility role requiring exceptional judgment, the ability to shape strategy from scratch, and comfort operating in ambiguity. You will work across 5+ teams and multiple geographies, building solutions that protect millions of brands and strengthen the trustworthiness of Amazon's marketplace.

This is a global role requiring effective communication and understanding of the diverse needs of international brands, operational teams, and stakeholders across countries.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve ambiguity across organizational boundaries — scoping problems, proposing solutions, and driving alignment where no playbook exists.
  • Analyze defects trends, policy gaps, and process inefficiencies to design scalable mechanisms that support evolving business needs
  • Author and present program updates to senior leadership, translating complex cross-org dependencies into crisp narratives and actionable decision points.
  • Manage competing priorities across regional teams, making trade-off recommendations and surfacing the right inputs for leadership decisions.
  • Own complex enforcement decisions in ambiguous, high-stakes situations, setting precedents that scale across geographies

About The Team The vision of Intellectual Property Protections (IPP) team is to ensure every Brand’s catalog (ASINs and offers) is clean with no IP infringements while minimizing friction for the Sellers. We do this by proactively identifying infringing content on ASINs and offers through various signals including Brand provided data, Seller behavior, Brand licensee relationships, Brand/Seller appeals, etc. We build highly transparent systems that communicate the impact of our protections clearly and unambiguously to the Brand Owner and earn their trust.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
