Sr. Project Development Engineer (1 year)

Job Summary

The Project Development Engineer supports the development of renewable energy and related infrastructure projects from feasibility assessment through permitting and pre-construction. The role provides technical, commercial, regulatory, and project management support to ensure projects are viable, compliant, and aligned with the Company's overall strategic objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Development, Due Diligence/Assessment and Investment Support

· Support and drive the development of renewable energy and related infrastructure projects from feasibility assessment through permitting and pre-construction, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic, commercial, technical, and investment objectives.

· Lead and/or support technical evaluations, engineering studies, resource assessments, and project development activities to determine the technical, commercial, and economic viability of prospective projects.

· Conduct technical, commercial, and financial due diligence for greenfield developments, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, government biddings for renewable energy projects, and other strategic opportunities, and prepare recommendations to support management decision-making.

Permitting and Regulatory Support

· Manage the preparation and submission of documentary requirements for the acquisition of project permits,

licenses, and regulatory approvals (e.g., Service Contracts, ECC, BOI registration, and other applicable permits),

coordinating closely with government agencies, project partners, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Project Execution Support and Compliance

· Support the transition of projects from development to execution by ensuring technical studies, permits,

approvals, land rights, contracts, and project documentation are complete and available for execution.

Project Management and Risk Assessment

· Develop, maintain and monitor project development plans, budgets, schedules, and key milestones to ensure

projects progress in accordance with approved timelines, budget and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Civil or Electrical Engineering).
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in project development, engineering, project management, or business development within the energy or infrastructure industry.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy project development lifecycle, including feasibility assessment, permitting, regulatory framework, stakeholder management, commercial evaluation, and transition to project execution.
• Experience in technical and commercial due diligence, feasibility studies, and business case evaluation is an advantage.
• Willing to travel to project sites, as required; and to be under 1 year contract.
