About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Director - Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that represents a strategic leadership opportunity within our organisation. As Senior Project Director, you will take ownership of major mechanical engineering projects, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception through completion. This role is pivotal to our continued growth and reputation for project excellence, requiring both technical acumen and strong management capabilities. You will report directly to senior management and will have a significant impact on project outcomes and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale mechanical engineering projects
• Manage project budgets, timelines, resources and quality standards, ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications and contractual requirements
• Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams, including mechanical engineers, technicians and support staff
• Develop comprehensive project plans, risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders and internal management regarding project progress and any emerging issues
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards and industry best practices
• Coordinate with procurement, finance and other departments to optimise resource allocation and project efficiency
• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lessons learned from previous projects
• Represent the company at client meetings, presentations and project handovers

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management or project leadership role
• With Valid Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large, complex mechanical engineering projects from conception through delivery
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, design principles, manufacturing processes and installation procedures
• Professional certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or equivalent project management qualification
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines and resources effectively whilst maintaining quality standards
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop engineering professionals
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting to senior-level clients and executives
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Proficiency with project management software and engineering design tools
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes and regulations
