Sr. Project Engineer

We’re hiring: Senior Project Engineer, Solar & Energy Storage (Denver or Northeast US)

Spencer Ogden is partnering with a growing developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale and community solar and BESS projects on a confidential search.

This is an owner-side engineering role. You’d be the primary engineering lead on assigned PV and BESS projects, taking them from development through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

What you’d do:

• Manage EORs and specialty engineering firms through 30/60/90/IFC milestones
• Lead BESS engineering across stand-alone, AC-coupled, and DC-coupled systems
• Review designs, equipment, and submittals (PCS, transformers, switchgear, EMS, SCADA)
• Serve as the engineering resource for construction, RFIs, and commissioning
• Mentor engineers and drive consistent standards across projects

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of engineering experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, or related infrastructure
• Hands-on utility-scale BESS experience
• Experience managing third-party consultants and EORs
• Construction support and utility interconnection knowledge
• PE and/or PMP a plus
