About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to independently oversee plant erection, equipment installation, project execution, and commissioning activities at our upcoming chemical and agrochemical manufacturing facility in Saykha, Bharuch.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive hands-on experience in setting up chemical manufacturing plants, with strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, process equipment, piping systems, and plant infrastructure.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

**1. Plant Erection & Project Execution**

• Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical erection activities for the manufacturing facility.

• Oversee installation of reactors, vessels, storage tanks, spray dryers, centrifuges, pumps, and associated process equipment.

• Supervise equipment positioning, alignment, installation, and mechanical commissioning.

• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities to ensure smooth project execution.

**2. Equipment Installation & Technical Coordination**

• Review plant layouts, equipment drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.

• Coordinate with machinery manufacturers, fabricators, contractors, and engineering consultants.

• Ensure correct installation of piping networks, valves, utility lines, and process equipment.

• Supervise fabrication, structural supports, welding, and piping installation activities.

**3. Project Planning & Contractor Management**

• Prepare and monitor erection schedules, project milestones, and execution timelines.

• Supervise contractors, site engineers, technicians, and installation teams.

• Monitor material requirements, equipment deliveries, and project progress.

• Ensure quality workmanship, cost efficiency, and timely project completion.

**4. Testing & Commissioning**

• Supervise equipment inspections, mechanical testing, and pre-commissioning activities.

• Coordinate equipment trials and commissioning with process and production teams.

• Identify and resolve installation-related technical issues.

• Ensure the plant is mechanically ready for safe and efficient operations.

**5. Safety & Compliance**

• Ensure adherence to applicable industrial safety standards and engineering practices.

• Supervise safe lifting, rigging, equipment handling, and installation activities.

• Maintain project documentation, inspection records, and commissioning reports.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• **Education:** B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

• **Experience:** Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial plant erection, project execution, and commissioning.

• Prior experience in chemical, agrochemical, specialty chemical, dyes, or similar process manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.

• Proven experience in setting up greenfield or brownfield manufacturing facilities.

• Strong practical knowledge of reactors, process machinery, piping systems, fabrication, and mechanical installations.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.

• Experience in managing contractors, machinery suppliers, and multidisciplinary site teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Preference will be given to candidates who have independently handled the mechanical erection and commissioning of chemical or agrochemical manufacturing plants from initial installation through successful start-up.

We are seeking a technically competent, execution-oriented professional capable of taking complete ownership of plant erection activities at the project site.
