Sr Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of large-scale industrial construction projects across India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industrial construction sector, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise. This role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution: Lead end-to-end project management from conception through to completion, including design definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality management and resource allocation.
• Team Leadership: Direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of project teams, including designers, project engineers, construction managers, and contractors. Provide mentorship and support to junior project managers.
• Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Ensure transparent and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts on project deliverables, schedule, and costs.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds company and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance.
• Budget Management: Monitor project costs and cash flows, ensuring alignment with approved budgets. Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote and enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budget reports, and schedule updates, and report to clients and senior management regularly.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A Master s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in industrial construction, with a strong background in international invested projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project), with a solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with proven experience in managing large, cross-functional teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to anticipate and solve issues proactively, with a strategic and analytical mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements, including environmental, safety, and construction codes.
• Experience working with international clients and local contractors.
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.
