Sr. Project Scheduler Consultant

Apt is seeking a senior Project Controls / Primavera P6 Consultant to support solution development for a large-scale managed scheduling opportunity within the electric utility industry.

The immediate need is for an experienced project-controls leader who can participate in pre-bid discovery, assess delivery requirements and help Apt design a scalable operating, staffing, QA and transition model.

This individual may also be considered for a longer-term leadership position if Apt is awarded the engagement.

What We Need

• 10+ years in Project Controls, Planning or Scheduling
• Advanced Oracle Primavera P6 / P6 EPPM experience
• Experience supporting large portfolios of capital projects
• Strong CPM scheduling expertise, including:
• Critical path and float analysis
• Logic and constraints
• Baselines
• Schedule health
• Forecasting
• Recovery/what-if schedules
• Experience designing or leading centralized scheduling/project-controls teams
• Schedule QA/QC and governance experience
• Ability to evaluate workload and develop staffing/capacity models
• Understanding of capital-project lifecycles from engineering through procurement, construction and closeout
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills

Highly Preferred

• Electric utility / Transmission / Power Delivery
• Substation, transmission line or Protection & Controls experience
• Large construction/EPC programs
• P6 EPPM administration, including EPS/OBS, security, baselines, Global Changes or troubleshooting
• Managed-service mobilization or transition experience
• Project-controls reporting / analytics experience
• AACE PSP/CCP or PMP certification

Initial Assignment

The consultant will:

• Participate in client pre-bid discussions with Apt leadership.
• Identify critical operational, technical and commercial questions.
• Assess schedule volume, complexity and production-capacity drivers.
• Advise on staffing structure and scheduler productivity assumptions.
• Develop recommendations for P6 administration and QA/QC.
• Identify transition, SLA, surge-capacity and continuity risks.
• Help Apt translate discovery into a defensible delivery and pricing model.
• Support proposal and presentation development.
