About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, stability, and performance of web applications and software systems.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Selenium , solid programming skills, and a proven ability to develop reliable, scalable automated test frameworks. This role requires a quality-driven mindset, strong analytical skills, and close collaboration with software engineers, product teams, and other QA professionals throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Build and improve scalable automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Develop and execute end-to-end (E2E), integration, regression, and functional tests.
• Identify, document, investigate, and track software defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to define test strategies, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Validate API functionality, data integrity, and application behavior across different environments.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot flaky tests, and improve test reliability and execution time.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA standards, testing guidelines, and automation best practices.
• Identify opportunities to expand test coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Support release validation and provide clear reporting on quality risks and test outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Selenium WebDriver .
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing web applications and validating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Ability to analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams on resolutions.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, or other modern automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized test environments.
• Experience implementing test automation strategies from the ground up.
• Knowledge of shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and quality engineering practices.
