Sr. Quality Engineer

1 . TITLE: ENGINEER MANUFACTURING / QUALITY

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY

3 . POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure quality standards for products procured or manufactured are in accordance with customer and/or internal quality requirements. Reports to Quality Manager.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain product set up and documentation including part numbers, part descriptions, BOMs, routings, labor rates, etc.

• Perform costing of new and existing part numbers, and process engineering change notices

• Conduct time studies; determine manufacturing process times and capacities

• Utilize product drawings, specifications, and other engineering data to develop processes

• Support manufacturing operations such as: Tooling, stamping, perforating, expanding, forming and welding

• Determine the sequence of steps in manufacturing processes, such as manufacturing costing, fabrication and assembly, required to complete product development while meeting safety, quality and cost goals

• Develop and implement Corrective Action Plans for manufacturing processes and/or customer complaints

• Prepare Production Part Approval documentation (PPAPs)

EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• Three (3) years of Engineering and Quality experience

• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP system

• Understanding of Production Part Approval Process

• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
