• Develop/formulate new products as determined necessary by the market group or due to changes in raw material availability.

Develop manufacturing procedures.

• Evaluate and recommend approval of new raw materials, as well as, adjustments/modifications of raw materials and finished product specifications.
• Coordinate R&D activities with marketing, manufacturing, technical services, quality control and health and safety departments, as well as, universities, consultants and attorneys.
• Maintain complete, permanent records of all work performed and results obtained.

Effective communication with MCC worldwide laboratory managers – USA, Europe & India.

• Able to rise above and assist with the transformation of apathetic unbelieving mind set’s and drive towards new company objects that meet and exceed customer and market expectations.

Champion of change and continuous improvement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree in chemistry and seven years+ related laboratory experience in the metalworking or related industry.
• Has demonstrated competence to research new applications of products or to develop new and improved production methods.
• Works with considerable independence.
• Extensive experience and knowledge sufficient to be regarded as a resource to the Corporation in a particular field or product line.
• Collaborates in the application of standard project management practices.
• Manages several phases of project work, determining actions and timing.
• Takes the lead working with others to identify and address potential project obstacles.
• Manages the documentation and internal reporting on projects and related work.
• Must be able to perform standard procedures independently, interpret, and report results.
• Seeks solutions to complex problems.
• Has exhibited creativity and ingenuity.
