Sr. Software Developer - Cloud & Security Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer - Cloud & Security Engineering with 6+ years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure.

The successful candidate will design and develop secure, scalable, cloud-native services and automation; work with Azure security and governance capabilities; analyze operational and security data using KQL; and support engineering and deployment workflows through Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend services, APIs, and automation solutions on Azure.
• Deliver production-ready solutions with C#/.NET, Azure Functions, Azure SDKs, and REST APIs.
• Create automation for cloud security, governance, resource management, and remediation workflows.
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using IaC, preferably Bicep/ARM or Terraform.
• Work with Azure identity and security capabilities, including Entra ID, Managed Identity, RBAC, and Azure Policy.
• Use KQL extensively to analyze operational and security data, troubleshoot issues, conduct investigations, produce reports, and perform burndown analysis.
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, covering automated build, testing, validation, and deployment workflows.
• Implement monitoring and telemetry with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Use GitHub Copilot, AI agents, and other AI-assisted development capabilities to enhance development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and engineering productivity.
• Participate in design and code reviews while collaborating with engineering, security, and platform teams.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience, preferably including substantial C#/.NET backend development experience.
• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with Azure Functions, REST APIs, Azure SDKs, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Repos, PRs, Boards, Pipelines, and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of Azure security, identity, RBAC, Managed Identity, and Azure Policy.
• Experience with automated testing, monitoring, telemetry, and production-system troubleshooting.
• Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools and agents, such as GitHub Copilot, while applying appropriate engineering judgment and validation.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and documentation abilities.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Defender for Cloud or broader cloud security experience.
• Experience with security and governance automation or automated remediation.
• PowerShell/Azure CLI.
• KQL or similar skills
• Docker/AKS.
• MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
