Sr Software Engineer & Support (L2.5) Professional

Job Summary We are looking for a Software Engineer + Support to develop, maintain, and support cloud-based applications and digital services. This is a hybrid engineering and production support role. The successful candidate will contribute to application development while also providing L2 technical support, troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and working with development, infrastructure, and business teams to maintain service reliability. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React.js, Java, and AWS, together with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Software Development Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using TypeScript, React.js, and Java. Develop and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and microservices. Build and maintain responsive web applications using React.js. Develop cloud-native applications and services running on AWS. Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code. Perform code reviews and follow software engineering best practices. Develop unit and integration tests to maintain application quality. Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Support application releases across development, SIT, UAT, and production environments. Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability. Production L2 Support Provide L2 technical and application support for production systems. Investigate incidents using application logs, monitoring dashboards, database queries, and AWS services. Troubleshoot application, integration, infrastructure, configuration, and data-related issues. Perform initial root cause analysis and determine whether issues originate from the application, infrastructure, data, configuration, or downstream systems. Resolve production issues within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs). Escalate complex application defects to the appropriate development or engineering team with sufficient technical analysis and supporting evidence. Provide workarounds where appropriate while permanent fixes are being developed. Support production deployments, rollback activities, and post-deployment validation. Participate in production incident management and recovery activities. Maintain clear incident investigation notes, resolution details, and root cause documentation. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation. Identify recurring incidents and work with engineering teams to implement permanent fixes. Participate in an on-call or production support rotation where required.
