Sr Software Engineer -- Backend

Job Summary

Design and own backend services that have to stay reliable and fast under massive, unpredictable consumer traffic. As a Senior Software Engineer Backend at Talentica, you ll build distributed, microservices-based systems in Go and Node.js, solving engineering challenges such as high availability, asynchronous event-driven architecture, and system design at global scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, distributed backend systems that serve millions of consumers globally.

• Own critical services within a microservices architecture, delivering complex features against timeline, quality, reliability, and performance expectations.

• Optimize backend systems for reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, QA, and SRE to align engineering delivery with business outcomes.

• Define and promote engineering best practices across software design, code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.

• Contribute across the full SDLC analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Participate in production monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

  Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong hands-on proficiency in Go and Node.js.

• Strong system-design and architectural experience building scalable, highly available products and services.

• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.

• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, API design, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, messaging, and Linux systems.

• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments using iterative and incremental development practices.

• Good to have: familiarity with Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, or other modern frameworks (advantageous but not mandatory).
