The Qualifications We Seek

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Required Qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience
• 1 to 3 years of supervisory, team leadership, or technical leadership experience
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks , preferably Angular or Blazor
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments
• Experience with cloud platforms , preferably AWS
• Proficiency in Git or similar version control systems
• Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management tools
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to balance hands-on software development with technical leadership responsibilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Couchbase or other NoSQL databases
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Experience leading remote or offshore software development teams
• Knowledge of distributed systems or messaging platforms
• Experience supporting WinForms applications
• Background in payment processing or point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Experience in the family entertainment or attractions industry

Your Daily Tasks

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to strengthen technical capabilities and professional development.
• Provide input on recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career development.
• Establish technical direction, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Coordinate development activities across onshore, remote, and offshore teams.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for technical challenges and software delivery issues.

Essential Duties

• Lead and actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Guide software engineers through solution design, development, unit tests, and implementation.
• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET applications in accordance with established engineering standards.
• Review software architecture, solution designs, and code to ensure quality, performance, and security.
• Support task estimation, prioritization, and product delivery commitments.
• Oversee source control practices, version management, and software release processes.
• Develop and optimize integrations between applications, systems, and services.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical and application issues.
• Identify and implement improvements in application architecture, development processes, and team effectiveness.
• Provide technical support to Operations and participate in rotational on-call support as needed.
• Ensure software solutions meet delivery timelines, budget requirements, and quality standards.
