Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 5–8 years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django, ORM, React, AWS, Docker, and relational databases. Experience with .NET/C# and AI/LLM-based development is a strong advantage.

Full Stack Engineer – Python / Django / React / AWS

Role: Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 5–8 years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django, ORM, React, AWS, Docker, and relational databases.

The ideal candidate should be a strong full-stack engineer who can design, build, deploy, and support scalable applications end-to-end. In addition to the core technology stack, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and comfortable working across technologies, with an interest in leveraging AI to build intelligent solutions, develop AI agents, and automate engineering and business workflows.

Experience with .NET/C# and AI/LLM-based development is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Develop backend applications and services using Python and Django.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications.
• Work extensively with Django ORM / ORM frameworks for database operations and data modeling.
• Develop responsive, maintainable, and reusable frontend components using React.
• Design database models, relationships, queries, and data access layers.
• Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot application/database performance issues.
• Deploy and support applications in AWS environments.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker.
• Explore and implement AI-powered solutions, including AI agents and workflow automation.
• Identify opportunities to use AI to improve developer productivity, operational efficiency, and business processes.
• Work across different technology stacks when required and quickly learn/adopt new frameworks, languages, and tools.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
• Follow engineering best practices around scalability, security, reliability, testing, and CI/CD.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

• Python
• Django – Mandatory
• ORM – Mandatory, preferably Django ORM
• React
• AWS
• Docker
• PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• RESTful API development and integration
• SQL and relational database concepts
• Git/version control
• Production application development and troubleshooting

Backend Requirements

• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Django.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Django ORM / ORM concepts.
• Experience with models, relationships, migrations, querysets, transactions, and database interactions through ORM.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and API security.
• Experience with Flask and/or FastAPI is an added advantage but does not replace the mandatory Django requirement.

Frontend Requirements

• Hands-on development experience with React.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and modern frontend development.
• Experience building reusable React components and integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Experience with state management, routing, forms, and frontend application architecture.
• TypeScript experience is preferred.

Cloud & DevOps Requirements

• Hands-on experience working with AWS.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS environments.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment practices.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, or similar services is preferred.

Database Requirements

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience with schema/data model design, joins, indexes, transactions, and query optimization.
• Strong hands-on experience accessing and managing relational data using ORM.
• Ability to troubleshoot database and ORM-related performance issues.

AI & Automation – Good to Have

Experience or strong interest in applying AI/Generative AI to real-world engineering and business problems is highly desirable.

Good-to-have experience includes:

• Building AI agents or agentic workflows.
• Building applications or features using LLMs / Generative AI.
• Using AI APIs and integrating AI capabilities into existing applications.
• Automating engineering, operational, or business workflows using AI.
• Experience with concepts such as tool/function calling, RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Using AI coding and development tools effectively to improve engineering productivity.
• Ability to identify practical opportunities where AI can reduce manual effort or improve existing processes.

Candidates do not need to be dedicated AI/ML engineers; we are looking for software engineers who can effectively apply modern AI capabilities to solve problems and automate work.

Additional Technology Experience – Good to Have

• .NET / C# development experience.
• Experience building APIs or backend services using ASP.NET Core / .NET.
• Flask and/or FastAPI.
• TypeScript.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Microservices and distributed systems.
• Application monitoring and observability.

Technology Adaptability:

We are looking for an engineer who is technology-agnostic and adaptable, rather than someone limited to a single language or framework.

The candidate should:

• Be comfortable switching between technologies and technology stacks based on project requirements.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, platforms, and development tools.
• Have strong software engineering fundamentals that can be applied across technologies.
• Be comfortable working across Python, JavaScript/React, cloud technologies, AI tools, and potentially .NET/C#.
• Evaluate technologies based on the problem being solved rather than being tied to a specific framework.
• Be willing to work on both existing systems and new technology initiatives.
