Sr. Staff Accountant | Remote and Nightshift

Responsibilities:

• Review invoicing, general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Responding to client emails for payment
• Data analysis
• Manage payroll
• Verify, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Identify areas of improvement and inaccuracies and
• Recommend and help implement corrective actions
• Manage accrual accounting process including month-end and year-end closing activities
• Perform cash flow projections, track fixed assets, and reconcile balance sheets
• Process vendor bills and reconcile credit card entries
• Manage payroll and benefit contribution process
• Maintain 1099 and sales tax filing
• Facilitate audits and assist with external audit requests.
• Prepare financial statements under GAAP compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and review work for accuracy.
• Stay current with accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree
• 5+ years of full-cycle progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years in public accounting or multi-client environment
• Concrete knowledge of QuickBooks/Intuit and Excel with solid technical aptitude
• Familiarity Bill.com
• Confident ability to multi-task independently and accurately
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable and confident communication abilities
• Sharp attention to detail with a responsive nature
• Proven organization and time management techniques
• Punctual and adaptive to current standard procedures and concepts
• Heavy on initiative and curious
