Sr. Superintendent (Miami)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role serves as the primary field leader responsible for safety, scheduling, quality, productivity, subcontractor management, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader with extensive experience managing large-scale projects, developing high-performing field teams, and fostering a strong safety culture. Experience in high-rise, airport, healthcare, hospitality, or large commercial construction projects is highly preferred.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and champion a best-in-class project safety program while fostering a strong jobsite safety culture.
• Oversee daily field operations and coordinate project activities to ensure schedule, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and project teams to proactively identify and resolve construction challenges.
• Manage subcontractors, field personnel, equipment, and materials to maintain project progress and efficiency.
• Drive project scheduling efforts, identify critical path activities, and develop recovery plans when necessary.
• Mentor, coach, and develop superintendents, field engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of field staff.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, inspectors, trade partners, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Support development and implementation of Project Execution Plans (PEPs).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, quality control procedures, and project requirements.
• Review contracts and subcontract agreements to identify risks, mitigate exposure, and maximize project opportunities.
• Influence construction methodologies, equipment selection, and site logistics planning.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative construction practices.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman certification, construction-related diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 15+ years of progressive construction field leadership experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of commercial construction means, methods, materials, and project execution.
• Proven experience leading large and complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, workforce planning, resource forecasting, and productivity management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple scopes of work and coordinate diverse project teams.
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts, risk management, and cost controls.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations, environmental compliance, and jobsite safety leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading client meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and project presentations.
• Ability to interpret cost reports, labor productivity metrics, and project financial data.
• Experience with high-rise, airport, hospitality, or other large-scale commercial construction projects is highly preferred.
