Sr. Supervisor/ Asst. Manager, IT - BI & Data Analytic

Tips: The Senior Supervisor, IT - BI & Data Analytics is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of business intelligence solutions and data analytics initiatives. This role ensures data-driven decision-making by transforming raw data into actionable insights, managing BI tools and dashboards, and supervising a team of analysts.

Responsibilities

·       Data Pipeline Management:

-       Design and oversee end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to BI dashboards

-       Ensure reliable data ingestion from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, APIs, databases, files)

-       Monitor data flow integrity and resolve pipeline failures or performance issues

-       Collaborate with developer/engineering teams to optimize data.

·       ETL / Data Transformation:

Lead development of ETL processes using tools such as:

-       Power Query (M language)

-       SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent tools

-       Clean, transform, and standardize raw data into analytics-ready datasets

-       Implement data validation rules and data quality checks Optimize transformation logic for performance and scalability

·       Data Modeling:

-       Design and maintain efficient data models (star schema, snowflake schema)

-       Define relationships between fact and dimension tables

-       Ensure proper use of DAX calculations for business logic

-       Optimize models for performance in Power BI Service

·       Data Scheduling & Refresh Management:

-       Configure and manage data refresh schedules in Power BI Service, and Airflow is a plus

-       Ensure timely and automated updates of datasets and reports

-       Monitor gateway performance and connectivity (on-premises and cloud sources)

-       Troubleshoot refresh failures and implement corrective actions

·       BI Report & Dashboard Development:

-       Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports

-       Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions

-       Create KPIs, metrics, and visual storytelling dashboards

-       Ensure usability, performance, and consistency across reports

·       Team Leadership & Supervision:

-       Lead and mentor BI developers and junior analysts

-       Assign tasks and manage project priorities

-       Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in BI development

-       Provide technical guidance on Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and Python

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in BI, Data analytic or related filed.

• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

• Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI or similar).

• Strong SQL skills and database knowledge.

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) is a plus.
