Sr. Systems Engineer I

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer I to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will help define and document system requirements, workflows, and architecture for connected healthcare solutions. The position will play a key part in ensuring data flows reliably from medical devices through cloud infrastructure while supporting product quality, compliance, and launch readiness. It will also partner closely with software, hardware, and regulatory teams to translate technical details into clear system-level guidance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $115,000 – $149,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussions to define and document system requirements and workflows
• Oversee data flow from medical devices to cloud infrastructure
• Maintain system architecture documents and models
• Manage trace matrices linking design inputs to outputs
• Review and provide input on software specifications and regulatory submissions
• Participate in risk management throughout product development
• Assist with design transfer and software deployment activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry
• Experience with mobile applications and related IoT hardware
• Knowledge of standards compliance and risk management
• Ability to translate technical concepts for collaboration with developers
• Strong communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teams
