Sr. Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Services - Client Computing Platforms (Temporary 11 months)

The Senior Systems Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational health of global Client Computing Platforms . The role focuses on designing secure, reliable, and scalable cloud and on-premises solutions that enhance the modern end-user computing experience.

The position serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert , collaborating with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Applications, ITSM, and End-User Services teams to resolve complex technical challenges, establish standards, drive automation, and support global IT initiatives.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English. High Proficiency level (must).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, MIS , or related field preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive Enterprise IT experience , including large-scale global operations.
• 10+ years of experience across multiple Client Computing / End User Computing technology areas.
• Strong experience in designing, engineering and administrating Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS/Android, Microsoft 365, Intune, JAMF, Azure, Defender, and Azure Virtual Desktop .
• Experience with MDM/MAM, endpoint management, application packaging and deployment , and virtual desktop environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, DNS, certificates, SSO, and security technologies .
• Experience with Azure hybrid-cloud environments and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Automation and scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure ARM, Ansible, or similar technologies .
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible .
• Advanced networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, SSH, SSL/PKI, HTTPS, and NAC .
• Certifications in Client Computing, Microsoft Azure/Azure Virtual Desktop, Apple Enterprise, Endpoint Management, Security, or Application Packaging are preferred.
• ITIL certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, implement, and support global Client Computing platforms .
• Lead OS builds/upgrades, patching, application packaging, deployment, change management, and platform refreshes.
• Oversee the day-to-day administration and operation of assigned client computing platforms in partnership with service providers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems, respond to incidents, tune performance, manage capacity, and ensure work follows company standards, documented procedures, and industry best practices.
• Serve as the SME / technical lead for Client Computing technologies and architecture.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, processes, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Participate in design sessions of technical infrastructure & cloud processes, integrate solutions into existing infrastructure and continuous improvement of standards, processes, procedure across the function are of responsibility.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Support incident response, change control, and off-hours/on-call activities.
