Sr Transmission Line Engineer

Location – Remote or Office Locations across 40 U.S. States

Salary – $140,000–$170,000 + 401(k), Health Insurance, PTO, Vacation, and Annual Bonus of up to 15%

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major transmission projects, taking ownership of designs from concept through to completion while supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design overhead transmission lines for systems up to 345 kV.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, proposals, cost estimates, and scopes of work.
• Produce, review, and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Utilize industry-standard software, including PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
• Lead projects through all phases of design and delivery while ensuring QA/QC standards are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in overhead transmission line design.
• Strong proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE (PLS-TOWER experience is advantageous).
• Solid understanding of utility systems, overhead transmission line design, and engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and project coordination skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
