SRE / Linux Performance Engineer

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on SRE / Linux Performance Engineer to join a highly sophisticated FinTech environment and take ownership of the performance, reliability, and automation of mission-critical trading infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Own and optimize bare-metal Linux infrastructure, from BIOS and firmware configuration to kernel and application-level performance.
• Implement and maintain high-precision time synchronization using PTP and PPS.
• Configure and optimize kernel-bypass networking technologies such as Onload and DPDK.
• Identify and eliminate latency bottlenecks across CPU scheduling, interrupts, memory management, NUMA, and network infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for physical server environments.
• Develop monitoring and observability solutions focused on latency, jitter, and performance anomalies.
• Collaborate with quantitative developers and trading teams to optimize infrastructure for demanding workloads.
• Work with network infrastructure, including switches, multicast, and colocation connectivity.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Linux Infrastructure, SRE, or Performance Engineering.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and kernel performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with kernel-bypass networking technologies such as Onload, DPDK, ef_vi, or similar.
• Strong understanding of PTP, PPS, and high-precision time synchronization.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Salt.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI in bare-metal or on-premise environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of server hardware, NICs, firmware, and BIOS configuration.
• Familiarity with performance profiling tools such as perf, ftrace, eBPF, or cyclictest.
• Strong analytical thinking, independence, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-frequency trading or electronic trading environments.
• Experience with FPGA-based networking or hardware timestamping.
• Familiarity with financial market protocols such as ITCH, OUCH, or FIX.
• Experience with InfiniBand or RoCE.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for supporting workloads.
