SRE Platform Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a SRE Platform Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.

This role will focus on the reliability, scalability, and operational readiness of cloud-based platforms supporting mission-critical applications. You will partner closely with engineering and operations stakeholders to strengthen observability, streamline incident response, and improve overall service performance. The position also plays a key role in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and the introduction of new capabilities into production environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $114,600 – $252,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production and non-production environments for enterprise applications
• Implement observability features such as alerting and dashboards to improve incident detection
• Lead incident response teams to restore service quickly and support root cause analysis
• Analyze performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks and efficiency issues
• Support capacity planning and cost optimization for cloud resources
• Maintain disaster recovery and high availability architectures
• Coordinate operational readiness for new application capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, systems administration, or a related field
• Ability to obtain Active DHS/EOD Clearance
• Extensive experience with SRE principles, including monitoring, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and performance optimization
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services and operational best practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple layers of complex technical environments
