(Sr.)SPE Engineer(Machining Process and Process Control )

About the role

This role involves working with appointed factories, suppliers, and manufacturers on value engineering and second source project development. You will evaluate manufacturing processes, production capacity, and process control, while managing phase gate documents and data sheets including drawings, CPK, and Process Control Plans.

Key responsibilities

• Regular visit supplier to evaluate the manufacturing process, production capacity and process control
• Work with appointed factory, supplier, manufacturer for VE/2nd source project development within the given task and timeline
• Manage and verify the different phase gate documents and data sheet such as drawing, CPK, Process Control Plan (PCP) and others relevant document
• Determine supplier capabilities versus product specification
• Provide technical and manufacturing support to the supplier
• Develop supplier capability plan with cross functional team such as Sourcing, Engineering and SQE
• Lead supplier execute improvement plan on capability and productivity
• Conduct supplier onsite visit to ensure schedule target are being met, and lead in the resolution of issue that are encountered
• Update program progress status, identify and track action item; generate report to update management

About you

• Degree holder in mechanical engineering, material science or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years working experience with related field
• Experience in assembly products as well as fixture development
• Able to travel within Asia
• Station in Chonburi is preferred rather than other provinces
• Good communication skill with English
• Experience in leading process improvement is added advantage
• Experiences in machining
• Experiences in manufacturing management
• Automation knowledge is added advantage
