SSV Mechanical Design Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Technician to join our SSV engineering team. Reporting to the Chief Designer, Vehicle Engineering, you will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of various mechanical systems for recreational vehicles.

You'll Have The Opportunity To

• Produce the technical drawings required for the manufacture of new vehicles;
• Participate in component development and monitor prototype manufacturing;
• Collaborate in the problem-solving process with the team's designers and engineers;
• Create tracking files to optimize project progress.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs);
• Coordinate workload distribution and task assignment within a team of designers.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Hold a college diploma in mechanical engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the plastics industry and plastic part design;
• Have a keen sense of mechanics and good 3D visualization skills;
• Be proficient in software such as Catia V5, Smarteam and SAP;
• Excel in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards;
• Have creative solutions to the problems you encounter and are recognized for your ingenuity;
