The impact you will create:

• Help team members play to their strengths and grow their careersHire strong engineers to keep service and engineering quality high and support STACKIT's growth
• Own the design, development, delivery, and operation of our IaaS cloud services (compute, storage, networking)
• Own the technical product vision based on customer needs and help shape the roadmap
• Run code reviews to keep the codebase scalable, maintainable, and correct
• Work closely with product management, architecture, and adjacent engineering teams
• Provide technical guidance and contribute hands-on to the hardest problems

Experience and skills you will need:

• 5+ years building and shipping software products
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with responsibility for both projects and people
• Deep expertise in highly available distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
• Solid knowledge of Go, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus hands-on experience with IaaS technologies (e.g. OpenStack, virtualization, SDN, storage systems)
• Experience designing, building, and operating cloud services
• Servant-leader mindset, focused on growing the people on your team
• Comfortable in complex, fast-moving environments with competing priorities
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Excellent English
