The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess Counties, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 162 East Broadway in Monticello, NY.

Our agency offers a broad range of services including Residential Services, Clinical Services, Day Services, Family Support Services, Guardianship Services, Employment Services, Recreation and more. Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant is to support the CFO and Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department. This position requires someone who takes initiative and direction equally well and goes with the flow as priorities wriggle.

Qualifications:

A minimum BA/BS Degree in Accounting Business Administration.

Experience of one to two years in accounting. Knowledge of Accounting principals.

Must be proficient in excel spreadsheets, MS Word, payroll and Accounting Software.

Must be able to multitask, establish priorities and organize efficiently.

Must have very good verbal and writing skills.
