Staff Accountant

Location: Sausalito / North Bay Area

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + discretionary bonus

A well-established Bay Area company is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants broad exposure, a supportive team, and the opportunity to continue learning.

The ideal candidate may have 1+ year of accounting experience, although recent accounting graduates with strong internships, coursework, or related experience are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Assist with month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Reconcile cash, revenue, and other financial activity
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Work with different departments to ensure accurate financial information
• Help improve accounting processes and procedures
• Support special projects and other areas of the accounting team as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 0-2+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Comfortable working in Excel and learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions
• Someone who enjoys learning and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
