Staff Accountant

We are a growing CPA firm located in Alhambra, CA, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in public accounting and gain hands-on experience in tax, accounting, payroll, and client services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns, business tax returns, including S corporations, C corporations, and partnerships
• Perform bookkeeping and monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare and process payroll and sales tax returns
• Assist with year-end accounting and tax adjustments
• Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers
• Assist with tax notices and correspondence
• Communicate with clients to obtain tax and accounting information
• Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
• Assist senior accountants and CPAs with tax planning and special projects
• Perform other accounting and tax-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting or tax experience
• Bilingual in English and Chinese is a must
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience with a CPA or tax firm is a plus
• QuickBooks and Lacerte experience is a plus

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required during tax season.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
