As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to help build the accounting foundation required to support a substantially larger enterprise.

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in Cadre's monthly close process, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, building scalable processes, and working in a fast-paced growth environment.

This role will work closely with the CFO and accounting team and is expected to become a key contributor to the development of Cadre's long-term accounting and finance infrastructure.

What You'll DoMonth-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations
• Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation
• Analyze month-over-month financial variances
• Support the monthly close process and reporting deadlines

Fixed Asset Accounting

• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Track asset additions, disposals, transfers, and retirements
• Support capitalization policy compliance
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
• Assist with equipment inventory and asset verification initiatives

Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and schedules
• Coordinate requests from external auditors
• Assist with sales tax, property tax, and annual reporting requirements
• Support year-end financial statement audits

Process Improvement & Systems

• Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls
• Document accounting procedures and best practices
• Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central optimization initiatives
• Participate in automation and reporting projects

Business Partnership

• Work closely with operations, fleet, and commercial teams
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects
• Support lender, investor, and management reporting requirements

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience in energy services, oilfield services, industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or equipment rental industries
• Experience with fixed asset accounting
• Experience supporting external audits
