Staff Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to become an important part of our accounting team. This role will support the daily financial operations of multiple companies while helping ensure our accounting records are accurate, organized, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger accounts
• Record and categorize financial transactions
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing
• Maintain financial records for multiple companies/entities
• Prepare internal financial reports for management
• Assist with payroll and payroll-related reporting
• Track expenses, deposits, vendor payments, and company transactions
• Maintain organized supporting documentation
• Assist with CPA requests, tax documentation, and year-end reporting
• Identify discrepancies and help resolve accounting issues
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Two years previous staff accounting, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple companies and priorities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills

Pay: From $62,000.00 per year
