Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our operations in the greater Naples, FL area.

In this full-time, in-person role, you will be a vital part of preserving that legacy, managing full-cycle accounting to ensure our operations continue running smoothly for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

• Controller Support & Multi-Site Coordination
• Partner closely with the Store Controller to manage and streamline financial data across our multiple showroom locations.
• Provide reliable analytical and structural support to the Controller during month-end close cycles.
• Flag cost variances, cash flow trends, or inventory discrepancies early for the Controller’s review.
• Job Costing
• Accurately track, analyze, and reconcile job-related expenses-including materials, freight, labor, and other subcontractor invoices
• Monitor project profit margins and investigate variations for complex residential and commercial installation jobs.
• Full-Cycle AP, AR, and General Ledger Management
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring vendor invoices for materials and subcontractor activity are audited and coded to the correct jobs.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including managing customer deposits, and standardizing the collections process.
• Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries for payroll, accruals, depreciation, and other adjustments as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with experience in construction, contracting, or specialized flooring job costing.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and modern ERP systems. Experience with RFMS or other floor covering-specific software a plus.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical accounting skills, excellent organization habits, and a grounded, collaborative professional demeanor suited for a full-time office setting.
