Staff Accountant

About Us:

We are a well-established accounting firm in Maumee Ohio. We are dedicated to providing personalized and comprehensive Financial and Tax services to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Actual job requirements may vary, but specific job task will include the following:

General Ledger - Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial records. Record and post journal entries with precision and compliance with accounting standards.

Financial Statement Preparation - Prepare and analyze financial statements for clients, identifying trends and opportunities.

Depreciation - Create and update depreciation schedules for fixed assets.

Various Tax Preparation:

Process payroll taxes (quarterly and yearly) and ensure timely filings.

Prepare and file sales tax returns.

Stay updated on current tax laws to provide accurate advice and services to clients.

Other Duties as Assigned.

Proficiency in using the following is required:

QuickBooks - Proficiently use QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop versions) for bookkeeping and client support.

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Process and assemble client tax returns for submission.

Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel

Demonstrate strong Ten-Key proficiency for data entry and accounting tasks.

Administrative & Strategic Growth:

Work collaboratively with clients and team members to support business goals.

Contribute to the long-term vision of the firm.

Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in an accounting firm.

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Motivated to grow within the firm and take on increased responsibility.
