About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with hands-on experience in US Accounting and General Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate should have expertise in General Ledger Accounting, Journal Entries, Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting Support, and Day-to-Day Accounting Operations, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US-based clients/entities.
• Prepare and post Journal Entries, Accruals, Prepayments, and Accounting Adjustments.
• Perform General Ledger, Bank, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Support Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close activities.
• Review accounting transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain supporting schedules for financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Support Fixed Asset Accounting and related reconciliations where applicable.
• Support Intercompany Accounting and reconciliations where applicable.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Maintain complete documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

Key Software

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

• NetSuite
• QuickBooks
• Xero
• Sage
• SAP
• Oracle
• BlackLine

Experience with other accounting or ERP systems will also be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Chartered Accountants or candidates pursuing/progressing toward CA will be preferred.
• 38 years of experience in General Accounting, Staff Accounting, US Accounting, or Finance Operations.
• Experience supporting US accounting processes or US-based clients preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end close activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
